Alternative Aire Inc is a locally owned heating and air conditioning company based in Durham, NC. We’ve been in business since 2009, and our team is licensed and insured under NC License H2 and H3-Class 1 #30223. Our technicians are NATE certified, and we serve homeowners and businesses across Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary, Morrisville, Hillsborough, and West Raleigh.

Using our website

Everything on this site, including our logo, photos, page content, and the way it’s all put together, belongs to Alternative Aire Inc unless we’ve said otherwise. You’re welcome to browse the site and share links to it, but you can’t copy, resell, or reuse our content for your own business or project without asking us first.

We also ask that you don’t try to mess with the site itself. That means no trying to break into any part of it, no uploading anything harmful like a virus, and no using the site to send spam or do anything illegal. If someone does try something like that, we reserve the right to get law enforcement involved.

Booking a service

You can request an appointment through our website or by calling our office. Once we confirm a time with you, we’ll do our best to be there on schedule. Things do come up on our end sometimes, like an emergency call ahead of yours, so if a time needs to shift, we’ll reach out as early as we can.

If you need to reschedule or cancel, just give us a call or email as soon as you know. We’re a small, local team, so the more notice you can give us, the easier it is for us to fit someone else into that slot.

Pricing and payment

We believe in clear pricing before any work starts. As of this writing, our residential diagnostic fee is $119, our new customer preventative maintenance special is $99, and our commercial diagnostic fee is $199. These reflect current pricing on our website and can change over time, so the number quoted to you at the time of service is the one that applies.

We accept cash and credit for payment. We don’t charge overtime rates for evening or weekend appointments, since we know HVAC problems don’t wait for business hours.

Our guarantee

We stand behind our work with a satisfaction guarantee. If something isn’t right after a repair or installation, tell us and we’ll make it right. Being licensed and insured means you’re covered if something goes wrong on our end during a job, and it’s part of why we take the work seriously.
